Bag policy

  • You can only enter the stadium with bags no bigger than A4, so it's best if you don't bring a bag at all if possible.
  • Remember that umbrellas and professional cameras won’t be allowed in!

 

Food and drinks

  • The American Express Community Stadium is a cashless stadium so please bring credit cards, debit cards or mobile devices that allow contactless payment.
  • You might be asked for ID as alcohol can only be served in England to those over 18.
  • As part of the Challenge 25 scheme, you may be asked to prove your age even if you’re over 18 but look under 25 – take it as a compliment for looking youthful!
  • Keep in mind It is against the law to consume alcohol within the stadium bowl or within sight of the pitch. Alcohol-free beers are also not permitted within the stadium bowl.

 

Ad Hoc 

  • The American Express Community Stadium will operate a strict no smoking policy. This includes the use of tobacco and vaping products across all areas of the stadium.


Transport
 

General: 

All supporters are asked to plan their journey carefully and arrive early.

Please note, travel is not included as part of your match ticket, and you are reminded to purchase your ticket off the relevant transport provider.  

There is no local street parking available for football supporters as all areas close to the stadium have a residents’ parking scheme in operation and enforcement officers will be on patrol.

TRAIN

General & Important Information:

  • Please arrive early and check Sothern Rail’s website prior to travelling. 
  • Falmer station is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the stadium.
  • Brighton Station is approximately 10 minutes from Falmer. From Brighton, supporters can travel along the west coast to Worthing, Chichester, and Southampton. From Falmer Station supporters can travel to London via Brighton or Lewes, and travel along the east coast to Lewes, Eastbourne, and Hastings. 
  • There will be queue management in place at Brighton and Lewes stations prior to the match and at Falmer station post-match. Please follow staff instructions on the day. 
  • Depending on the times of travel and the length of your journey, ticket prices will vary. Train tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at National Rail  or  Southern Railway.  
  • Post-match - There will be queue management in place at Falmer station please follow staff instructions. There will inevitably be a queue for your return journey whether you are using the train or the bus. Please take this into consideration when planning your return journey. Returning to Brighton, head to platform 1 which is situated the same side as the stadium.

CITY BUSES

General information 

  • Cost of journey and timetable– see more information here
  • Journey times are dependent on where you are boarding your bus and the local traffic. The journey from Brighton City centre to the stadium can take between 20-30 minutes.
  • Number 25 bus every 10 minutes. Number 28/29 bus every 30 minutes. Number 23 bus every 30 minutes. Please alight at University of Sussex Sport Centre or ‘Falmer Station’ bus stop on the A27, this is a short 5-minute walk under the A27 and across the station bridge to the stadium.
  • Post-match – For Brighton City Centre use Falmer Station (westbound) bus stop. This is a 5-minute walk across the station bridge to the stadium. Queueing system in place and follow steward guidance. For Lewes, Ringmer, Uckfield use Falmer Station (eastbound) bus stop. This is a 5–10-minute walk across the station bridge, walk under the A27 and follow the path immediately on your right towards the bus stop. 

PARK & RIDE

  • There are two P&R sites - Mill Road PARK & RIDE 1 (postcode BN18ZF) & Brighton Racecourse PARK & RIDE 2 (postcode BN29XZ). 
  • All park and ride spaces must be booked in advance. Price - £7.50 per car. To book click here. 
  • Booking confirmation must be shown on entry to the P&R site. Please show match ticket on P&R bus.
  • Park and Ride sites open 3 hours before kick-off and close 1.5 hours after final whistle. 
  • Buses usually take approximately 20-25 minutes to reach the stadium and will be completing regular shuttles until kick-off. 
  • Both P&R site buses have wheelchair access and have a dedicated disabled parking area. 
  • There is strictly no overnight parking.
  • On arrival to the P&R, stewards will direct you to the next available parking space and to the bus pick up point. You will be dropped off in the lower tear drop on site at the Amex Stadium. 
  • For more important information please see your parking e-ticket and map for directions. 
  • Post-match - Please make your way back to your initial drop-off point situated by the south east corner and make sure you join the correct P&R queue. 

PARKING

General Information:

  • Near site parking is limited and must be booked in advance. £15.00 per carClick here to book your space. 
  • There will be no sales on the day, only drive if you have pre-booked. 
  • Car parks open 3 hours prior to kick-off. 
  • Please print your parking confirmation or show your mobile ticket at the checkpoint to your car park. 
  • Please plan your journey ahead and take into consideration that the roads may be busier than usual. 
  • Cars will be directed to park in the next available parking space on arrival. 
  • There is strictly no overnight parking. 

Car park B (Bridge Car Park)

  • Postcode BN1 9PW
  • Cars only – height restriction at entry to this car park. 
  • No access via residential estate.
  • This car park is approximately a 10-minute walk to the stadium. Please follow the main path to the stadium. 
  • This car park can take up to 1 hour to exit post-match.

Car park C (University of Sussex) 

  • Postcode BN1 9RB (Stony Mere Way / University Way)
  • No access via Knightgate / Falmer entrance – please use A270 & follow signs to Stanmer Park.
  • Cars only.
  • This car park is approximately a 10–15-minute walk to the stadium. Please make your way to the A27 underpass, walk over the railway bridge and towards the stadium. 
  • This car park can take up to 1 hour to exit post-match. 

COACH/MINIBUS TRAVEL

General Information: 

  • The coach park is located onsite at the stadium. 
  • Postcode BN1 9BL
  • Coach £25.00 / Minibus £15.00. To book, please click here.  
  • Please plan your journey ahead and take into consideration that the roads may be busier than usual.
  • On arrival to the coach park, stewards will direct your coach / minibus, please follow steward instructions. Please print your e-ticket as passes will be checked at the entrance.  
  • Post-match: Please make your way to the coach park via the coach park steps situated on the southwest corner of the stadium. Please return to your coach as soon as possible. 

CYCLING 

  • The stadium is equipped with cycle parking close by and there are cycle paths to the stadium from both Lewes and Brighton.
  • The bike racks are located at the north concourse (station approach) and upper tier drop.
  • We advise supporters to arrive early to ensure there is bike rack availability.

MOTORBIKES

  • There is limited motorbike parking on site at the stadium.
  • Postcode BN1 9BL.
  • On arrival to the main entrance, please follow steward instructions.
  • Motorbike parking is located in the lower tier drop and is free to park.  
  • We advise supporters to arrive early as spaces will be allocated on a first come first park basis.

WALKING

  • If you live within a reasonable distance of the stadium, then please walk. There are several safe and well-lit footpaths approaching the stadium which make access on foot easy.

DROP OFF / PICK UP POINT: 

  • There are no pick-up or drop-off points along Village Way or on Woollards Way (the entrance to the Bridge Car Park B). Supporters are advised to use our official drop-off and pick-up point located at University of Sussex in Car Park 5, located by the Sports Hall.
